Matt Floyd

Matthew (or Matt) is a former firefighter turned cybersecurity professional. Passionate about technology, he started an Associates Degree in cybersecurity in early 2020. Matt has gained experience with SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST frameworks, and acquired certifications in CompTIA Security+ and CySA+. He aspires to discover and hold credit to a few CVEs during his career. After completing his Bachelors, he plans to pursue a Masters in Cyber Law.

Living in Charleston, SC, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring downtown, trying new restaurants, and visiting the local beaches, with Edisto being his favorite. In his free time, he can be found camping in Francis Marion forest or playing paintball.

Despite spending his childhood in Jacksonville, FL, and Charleston, SC, Matt's favorite sports team is the New Orleans Saints. One of his recent highlights was attending the 20-year anniversary concert of Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard, one of his favorite bands.
